So proud of the statement Courtenay City Council has made with our Pride crosswalk. In these times of bigotry and discrimination we need to stand up for all members of our community to make sure we are all treated equally.
The rainbow crosswalk at the corner of 5th Street and Duncan Avenue received a fresh coat of paint over the last couple of days and is brightening up Downtown Courtenay! 🌈
The rainbow crosswalk was originally a directive of Courtenay Council. It receives annual maintenance and this year was re-painted when the weather allowed and also to have it ready for Pride Day on June 28th.
